Samuel Latham Mitchill (born August 20, 1764) was a Republican member of the United States House of Representatives from New York. He represented New York’s 2nd Congressional District and served as a federal legislator during the early years of the American republic. Mitchill’s congressional service began on December 7, 1801, and continued until March 3, 1813, encompassing a total of five terms in the House of Representatives.

During this period, Mitchill served as a Representative for the State of New York under the banner of the Republican Party. His tenure in Congress lasted more than a decade, marking him as a significant, long-serving figure in New York’s early federal delegation. After March 3, 1813, he left office and is recorded as a former member of Congress.
