Senator Jason T. Dickerson, a Republican, has served in the Georgia State Senate since 2025. He represents Senate District 21, which includes portions of Cherokee and Fulton counties.
Sen. Dickerson is a lifelong resident of Cherokee County, having grown up on a farm in Union Hill as the son and grandson of combat veterans. He has since spent over 30 years in the business world, co-founding Quest Trucking, a long-haul transportation company that employed over 500 people. His company was known for its militarythemed tractor-trailers honoring America’s veterans and delivering wreaths to the Georgia National Cemetery each December. Currently, he is the founder and president of Purple Chip Capital Management, a private investment firm specializing in identifying undervalued companies within the United States. Additionally, through the Jason T. Dickerson Family Foundation, Sen. Dickerson supports a better quality of life for those in need in Cherokee County. The foundation’s work helps provide utility and rent assistance for struggling seniors, temporary and permanent housing for homeless veterans, medical care and refuge for abused animals, and scholarships for local students pursuing their dreams in Veterinary Medicine. Sen. Dickerson’s foundation also assists with education, child foster care and first responder charities in his local community. Furthermore, Sen. Dickerson is a Christian community leader and a Rotary Paul Harris Fellow. He is a lifelong member of the National Rifle Association and a member of the Sons of the American Legion and the National Skeet Shooting Association. He is also a past Board Member of the Cherokee County Educational Foundation. Sen. Dickerson and his wife, Carey, reside in Canton and attend Canton First Methodist Church.
