Joe Colón serves as State Senator for District 22 in Puerto Rico.

His academic training began at the Félix Seijo elementary school, where he excelled in the Civil Patrol program, a platform that promotes leadership and teamwork, similar to the principles of scouting. Subsequently, she continued her education at the Bernardo González school, where she attended intermediate grades, and completed her secondary education at the Judith A. Vivas high school.
Entry to the Ana G. Méndez University System obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice. Currently, he is in the process of completing his Master’s degree at the same university institution, with the purpose of deepening his knowledge and continuing his professional development.
His professional career has been focused on public service. His effort and dedication led him to reach multiple positions in the administration of the Municipality of Utuado, including Director of the Department of Public Works and Special Assistant to the Mayor. He has also served as Customer Services Supervisor and Director of the Northern Area at the Aqueduct and Sewer Authority, from where he has directed key projects focused on improving stormwater services and infrastructure in the region.
Throughout his life, Colón Rodríguez has demonstrated a true vocation to serve others, always seeking to improve the quality of life of those around him and working with integrity and responsibility in each of the roles he has played.
On November 5, 2024, he was elected Representative for District Number 22, which includes the municipalities of Lares, Utuado, Adjuntas, Jayuya and Ciales. He was appointed to chair the Agriculture Committee of the House of Representatives.
