The honorable Senator and Attorney Roxanna I. Soto Aguilú was born in Hato Rey, Puerto Rico. She has been a defense attorney and notary public since 2006, practicing exclusively in private practice. She holds a Juris Doctor from the Eugenio María de Hostos Foundation and has conducted doctoral studies at the Ortega y Gasset Institute in Toledo, Spain, specializing in Law and Society. Additionally, she holds a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice and graduate studies in Human Resources Administration and Labor Relations, all completed at the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico, the same institution where she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a sub-specialization in Anthropology. Senator Soto Aguilú is noted for her commitment to community service and social justice. She is an active member of Lions Clubs International, Caguas Chapter, and the American Red Cross, Puerto Rico Chapter.
